An Introduction to Oral History

Day Course

Friday July 10th - 10.00 – 4.00

Nailsea Tithe Barn, Church Lane, Nailsea BS48 4NG

Nailsea Tithe Barn Trust are launching on oral history project to capture, in both audio and visual formats, the memories of the many local people who attended the Tithe Barn during its history as a school. To this end they have organised a free, introductory course to oral history for people who would be interested in being a part of this exciting new venture.

The self-contained day course aims to be an informal and practical introduction to oral history interviewing with an opportunity to handle recording equipment and discuss some of the issues around oral history, life stories and memory. No previous experience of oral history is required. This course will be led by Craig Fees, an Oral History Society-accredited trainer.

Places are limited to twelve so please apply early to Alison Boddy on 01275 855767 or at alibod@blueyonder.co.uk
