Description:
Mrs Jane Lord, teacher and ‘Custodian of the Bell’, kept the school bell at the Tithe Barn where it was rung daily to announce playtimes, lunch and the end of the day.
The Bell Monitor was chosen weekly and regarded as a great honour.
