Welcome to the Nailsea Tithe Barn
website. At last the restoration of
the Tithe Barn has started!
Five specialist firms were
invited to bid for the restoration and extension scheme and eventually the contract was awarded to W.
Coombes and Sons Ltd. of Ilminster. This firm
specializes in conservation and restoration and the
Tithe Barn Trust and Town Council are confident the
finished result will be something the Town can take
great pride in. Click

The projected costs for the refurbishment of the Barn
are around £1.2 million. The Lottery Heritage Fund has
made a substantial grant toward the cost of this.
Nailsea Town Council is selling Church House in Silver
Street, with the proceeds of the sale contributing to
both the refurbishment and the creation of new offices
at the Tithe Barn. The balance of the money needed for
the refurbishment will come from local fundraising. Our
Sponsor a Beam scheme has been particularly successful,
with lots of local individuals and organisations
sponsoring a beam and in the process contributing
valuable money to the fund.
