Nailsea Tithe Barn dates from 1480 and with Holy Trinity Church is part of Nailsea’s historic heart. A school for over 200 years, it is now fully restored to its medieval origins. The vaulted ceiling, stonework and owl & putlog holes are beautiful features along with the modern facilities you need.
The Coffee with Friends group met on Tuesday 5th March and enjoyed listening to a recording made for the Tithe Barn Oral History Project. Once again we heard stories of what it was like to be a pupil at 'Nailsea Parochial School' - as the Tithe Barn was known as in those days. The next meeting of Coffee with Friends will be Tuesday April 2nd and we welcome anyone who is interested in a social gathering that brings to life stories of Nailsea's past.

'Coffee with Friends' meet on the first Tuesday of the the month at 10.30am in the Hannah More room at the Tithe Barn. New Friends, with an interest in the Tithe Barn and Nailsea's history, are always welcome.
Dr Jo Edwards, the Chair of the Trust, has written a piece about Hannah More. As well as a fervent educationist, Hannah More was involved in a number of social movements of her day, including anti-slavery campaigns. Find out more about this fascinating woman by going to the History page

The Tithe Barn is the perfect place for community events, private or corporate functions, music, dancing, celebrations and weddings. For regular hire or one off functions, the Barn caters for groups from 5 to 120.
