The Tithe Barn's Heritage Development Officer takes a look at the architectural features of the medieval barn, and explains more about its use as a school since Hannah More founded the Nailsea Great School which opened on the site in 1792.
Did you know at first she only had the small room at the end over a stable? The school became Nailsea's only secondary school until Backwell was built in 1953.
Tours take place on the third Monday of every month. Next date 20th February 2012. Then 19th March.
Join us for an informal interesting hour followed by tea or coffee and a chance to talk about your questions and memories of the area.
